Dr. Thomas Sattelberger war von Oktober 2017 bis August 2022 Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages und 2021/2022 Parlamentarischer Staatssekretär bei der Bundesministerin für Bildung und Forschung. Vor seiner politischen Karriere war er in mehreren Vorständen deutscher DAX-Unternehmen tätig, unter anderem als Personalvorstand bei der Deutschen Telekom und bei der Continental AG. Er war 2008 Gründer und ist bis 2021 Vorsitzender der Nationalen Initiative "MINT Zukunft", die die Bereiche Naturwissenschaften, Mathematik, Ingenieurwesen und Technik umfasst. Außerdem ist er als Angel-Investor, Beiratsmitglied und Kolumnist tätig. Aktuell hat Thomas sein neues Buch "Radikal neu: Gegen Mittelmaß und Niedergang in Politik und Wirtschaft".
Thomas Sattelberger (1949) has served from 2017-2022 as Member of Deutscher Bundestag and was appointed 2021 Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Prior to his political career he has been on the Executive Board of Deutsche Telekom AG as Chief Human Resources Officer from 2007 – 2012. Before, he had held operational as well as HR positions on the Executive Boards of Lufthansa German Airlines (1999 – 2004) and Continental AG (2004 – 2007). He was longtime Vice President of the European Foundation for Management Development (Brussels) and is Fellow of the International Academy of Management.Thomas has published and authored over ten books as well as numerous articles on corporate transformation, leadership and strategic human resources management. His book on Democratic Organizations has been named Management Book of the Year 2015 in Germany. In 2023 he published his latest book “Radikal Neu - Gegen Mittelmass und Abstieg in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft” (Radically New – Against Mediocracy and Decline in Economy and Politics”). Thomas is active as investor and business angel. He also is serving on several advisory boards.
